Pants on the Ground Lyrics: Bringing Pro-Social Change to the World

Who would've guessed that American Idol judges would find a superstar in the first round of auditions? General Larry Platt, the author of Pants on the Ground, is bringing prosocial change to the world.

In a world where HIV and STDs are spreading like wildfire, Platt has sent forth a message that is relevant and dynamic. He articulated it perfectly with the one-liner: 'lookin like a fool with yo pants on the ground!' What more could we ask for? Teenagers all over the globe are reciting, chanting and tweeting it on every platform that presents itself. The possibilities for this life-changing message are infinite.

Of course, General Platt may not have meant it like that, although who knows what exactly he was getting at. He went as far as to say in later interviews that he thinks people shouldn't just get a fine for having their pants on the ground, they should go to jail. We're still trying to work out if the whole thing is literal or metaphorical. Either way, he sure has dreamed up some catchy lyrics, and why not use them to bring positive social change?

'Pants on the Ground' is clearly the song for our generation, and all we needed was a 60-something year old man to share it with us. American Idol judges might as well give up the search now. This one-hit-wonder has thousands of people tweeting every few minutes, and it already has hundreds of Facebook pages dedicated to it. Simon should have signed Mr Platt on the spot. After all, it turns out that the General was right in predicting that it wouldn't be the last that the judges see or hear of him.

Platt has said in interviews that his repertoire includes just one other song - it's about tattoos. Someone should grab the opportunity to buy the rights to it. With the overnight success of 'Pants on the Ground', it looks like Platt could really have a future in music.
