Bistro MD Taste Test: Beef Tips in Red Wine Sauce
Review of the Bistro MD Beef Tips in Red Wine Sauce with carrots, peas and Rosemary potatoes.
I was so glad that I did. The beef tips were tender as if they had been slow cooked all day. The beef was dripping with a Bordelaise-style sauce made with red wine and beef broth.
I loved the mix of mushrooms, vegetables such as carrots, peas and potatoes.
The potatoes were seasoned with rosemary, which made the entire dish smell heavenly.
Bistro MD Taste
I was extremely pleased with this meal that was one in the Bistro MD line of doctor designed gourmet meals. The meals are delivered to your door, packed in a Styrofoam container with dry ice. I think Bistro MD is one of the more affordable diet meal delivery services, although it's more expensive than grocery store frozen diet meals.
The Beef Tips in Red Wine Sauce was different compared to the Bistro MD Beef Tips With Mushroom Medley, which was served over egg noodles with spaghetti squash on the side. I liked the variety of the two different beef dishes.
Although I don't have any weight to lose, I love reviewing all of the Bistro MD meals since it helps me with a busy schedule as well as nutrition.

No. 2: Fat: 13 grams including 4 grams of saturated fat.
No. 3: Sodium: 790 mg.
No. 4: Other nutritional facts: The Bistro MD nutritional facts are always very high. This particular meal had 34 grams of protein, 45 percent of the recommended Vitamin A; 5 percent calcium; 20 percent Vitamin C and 45 percent iron. The Beef Tips meal had 6 grams of fiber. It contained only 8 grams of sugar.
No. 5: Bistro MD Beef Tips in Red Wine Sauce and side ingredients: beef, water, modified corn starch, parsnips, wine, cream, onions, mushrooms, butter, tomato paste, parsley, spices, onion powder, brown sugar, tomato paste, carrot stock, veal stock, wheat flour, carrots, peas, rosemary potatoes, sherry wine, onions, thyme, basil, lavender, marjoram, oregano, olive oil and other ingredients. The dish may contain milk, wheat and soy for those who have allergies.
I don't like microwave meals so I always heat the Bistro MD meals up on the stove or in the oven, depending on the dish.
Some people microwave for 2 to 3 minutes with a thawed meal or 4 to 6 minutes with a frozen meal.
In terms of Bistro MD complaints, I have not had any, but I think someone who is a picky and unhealthy eater may not be used to the vegetables included in just about every meal.
I've had a good experience with my orders with Bistro MD. It's easy to order or cancel at any time. I first heard about Bistro MD diet meal delivery service while watching the Dr. Phil Show. The program was started by Dr. Caroline Cederquist. I always make sure to find a Bistro MD coupon code to use for ordering. For more information, visit their website at www.BistroMD.com.
For my Bistro MD review of the Beef Tips in Red Wine Sauce, I give the product 4.8 out of 5 stars.
