How to Make Your Own CD Tower
Learn how to make your own CD storage tower.
You will needs the following materials:
- One piece of plywood that is 4' x 4'
- 4 dowel rods that are the same length as the boards.
- Table saw and drill
- 1/4" drill bit
- Wood glue
- Hammer
- Nails
- Pencil
- Two wood clamps
The first step is to draw lines one inch from the edges, on all sides of the boards except for the back piece. Leave it alone. Then take the drill and drill through the wood pieces at each mark with the drill. Next, take the board that you left alone and place it flush on the ground. Add wood glue to one of the other boards that has drilled holes and place that on top of the backboard at the top, at a 45-degree angle. Clamp that together with the wood clamp. Repeat this at the other end of the board at the end. Clamp that as well and allow these to dry overnight. Add each of the other boards in this same manner evenly spaced on the backboard. Then take the dowels and place wood glue inside of each hole. Insert the dowels through the holes. Allow that to dry. Then just sand it all down and paint, as you like. You can make as many of these as you need for your CD storage.
