Mold, the Downfall of Modern Society?

The Roman Empire was a great society, So smart, they ran plumbing to deliver water to their city and buildings, yet it was this very labor saving technology that deliver lead piosoning to them. Is America falling victim to another time saving killer?

Look at the world of great societies, the Mayans, The Egyptians, and even the Roman Empire. No one is sure what happened to the Mayans and Egyptians, just that a society as they once lived seemingly ceased to exist. The Roman Empire on the other hand were so smart, they ran sewage and plumbing viaducts to bring water in and waste out. Gosh they were smart, but little did they know that they didn't know everything, and the clay piping brought lead in with the water. Maybe the Titanic was a reminder of where our arrogance will take us.

In the twentieth century it was the use of asbestos, the life saving fireproof insulation material that would save lives because of its inability to burn. Today we know that Asbestos causes mesothelioma, and cancer in the tissue that surrounds the lungs.

Today, we are so smart, now we really do know everything, and have simplified the building of homes and offices with sheet rock instead of all the hours of laborious plaster, and of course since we know everything there is to know already, something so simple could not possibly be the downfall of this great modern society, especially with all the "Experts" testifying that mold is safe. Society believes the experts, and those of us who have experienced the dangerous effects are demonized as being quacks. It is the messengers that are always removed, that is why the old saying, "Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger" came into play. From the Prophets of Israel to the mold warnings of today, so I have to ask, when is society going to listen to its own advice and learn from history?

What is really sad is that someone out there does know, lots of people know, but what they are telling society is in opposition to what they know. Molds have been used in experimental Biochemical warfare labs because they create mycotoxins naturally. It seems the voice of indifference appears to be a diplomatic ploy to prevent widespread lawsuits in a sue happy society as insurance companies are fending off mold claims and more and more cases are being tried in mold damage law suits. Mold remediation on a building is a very costly, sometimes almost as much as the building and property are worth.

The sad thing is, many people who have been exposed to toxic molds are left disabled, disabled by pain, neurological damage, a variety of illnesses and organ damage. While on one breath they tell us how safe mold is, the public is unaware of the vast number of cases of mold damaged people in the country. One prime example is Histoplasma Capsulatum, a mold variety that is common through out the Midwest. Many children get Histoplasmosis from playing in the dirt in the garden, and mom, dad, and the doctors all say it is a summer cold or a summer flu because it replicates this type of illness. Yet when these children get into their 30's, 40's, and 50's, many of them get Ocular histo, which is a form of blindness caused by their youthful exposure to Histoplasma Capsulatum. Search the Internet for ocular histo, and read some of the victim's stories.

While this is sad and scary, histoplasma Capsulatum is relatively harmless when stacked against opponents like Stachybotris, Aspergillus, Fusarium, Pennicillium and a host of other varieties of mold that are known to create toxic biochemicals that can do real harm to the body. I don't need the government or insurance spokesmen to tell me how safe mold is or isn't, my family has suffered permanent damage to toxic mold exposure, and if someone in society does not listen and make changes in our building construction techniques, America will be the next great mysteriously fallen society.
